Bitcoin Miner Virus: How To Detect And Delete It

If you need help or you're New to roms and emulation these are some tips

First thing first You need an Emulator i suggest RetroArch is a Newbie Friendly good all in one emulator this is a video to how to setup and use ReTrOaRcH
OpenEmu FOR MAC USERS THAT WILL NOT USE RETRO ARCH BECAUSE IT'S NOT ENOUGH LOOKING LIKE MAC UI OR THEY HAVE AN OCD OR something like that it's good anyways ( i didn't use it bc i'm not a mac user )
🕿︎♋︎◻︎◻︎●︎♏︎ ◻︎❒︎□︎♎︎◆︎♍︎⧫︎⬧︎ ♋︎❒︎♏︎ □︎❖︎♏︎❒︎◻︎❒︎♓︎♍︎♏︎♎︎✆︎
and a download Manger
Jdownloader ( download the jar version ) A photo to explain what to download (don't download the .exe version it has an adware in it )
or idm u can trial reset with this
a torrent clients (credits to Piracy wiki)
for mobile ( torrent clients ) [credits to Piracy wiki]
stay away from [credits to Piracy wiki]
second you need sources to download roms these are the best sites + some tips
sites :
ziperto
No intro romset ( you can download it directly without a torrent you CAN FROM HERE ) (If you don't want to download the whole romset for the system press view content )
AlvRo's Collection
Vimm's Lair
The Eye
GamesTorrents ( of course if u can torrent )
MEGA-ROM
N(itro)blog
THE MEGATHREAD
RomsUniverse
MOBAsuite
IDK?? A WIKI FOR ROMpacks?????
The Old Megathread idk why u need it
A guy who uploaded some roms but he didn't get attention
ROMstorge ( idk how to use this site )
Roms WIKI
Another ROMs site
Edgeemu
EmulatorGames ( the name is baaaaaaaad )
ROMsDownload
WoW Roms
cdROMance
Startgame ( wtf is this name )
Retrostic
ROMulation
If u Want to Check if the site is safe go to here and comment ur site url
Tips :
Tip #1 : If you're in a country that hate piracy like USA or Germany ( i think Germany have dmca or something ?? idk ) etc. stay away from torrent and stay away from http sites
( download Https Everywhere extension and enable encrypt all sites eligible option by pressing on the icon of https everywhere ) even if your browser included with it . because it will warn you if the site is http...
Tip #2 : FBI will not raid your house ( because fbi will not waste there time on you )
Tip #3 : https is your best friend because it's encrypted that means if you go to a https roms site
your isp will see (random numbers and letters) .com/.net/.org/.to/.site etc.
Tip #4 : install an adblock i suggest Ublock Origin
Tip #5 : install a pop-up blocker if you have a chromium based browser like Brave, Chrome, New Edge etc. i suggest this ( if you know a better one please give me the link ) poperblocker
Tip #6 The MegaThread is your OTHER BEST FRIEND if you want an rom head to the megathread and press ctrl + F and search ;)
Tip #7 DON'T DO NOT OPEN ANY ANY ANY .MSI .EXE/.DMG/.DEB or ANY OTHER FILE THAT you CAN OPEN WITHOUT AN EMULATOR THE FILE IT'S 2000% A VIRUS ( EXCEPT WHEN you DOWNLOAD RETRO ARCH [ or any other emulator OF COURSE ] ) AND DON'T OPEN .BAT FILES IT CAN DELETE SYSTEM32 FILE AND IT'S ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FILES IN WINDOWS
Tip #8 Emulating is Legal but Downloading ROMs is ILEGAL ( OF COURSE IF you're LIVING IN A COUNTRY THAT DMCA IS A HOLY THING ) ;-)
Tip #9 If you're suspicious of a file u can scan it on VirusTotal or Hybird Analysis ( you need to upload the file because it will open it on a vm in there sever ).
Tip #10 I recommend using a controller if you have a xbox controller just connect it to your pc and you're good to go BUT if you have a dualshock controller (ps controller )
use DS4 Windows ( if you have a windows pc ) ( I Know it's the fork bc the og creator stopped working on it in 2016 or somthing like that )
or any other controller .
Tip #11 If you download a rom and it came in .rar .zip .7z .r001( if the rom came with multiple files like .r001 .r002 .r003... you need to extract just a one file) etc. you can use 7-ZIP or Winrar ( don't worry 40 days trial doesn't end ).

Tip #12 if the rom came in this order rom.rar.exe don't think to open it and if you hide the extension file from showing from the file name it will show like rom.rar but it's actually a .exe or .dmg etc.

Tip #13 if you have a linux pc or a mac that doesn't mean you will not get infected even Temple OS have malwares ( if you don't what's a malware is just search ).
Tip #14 if u tired of link shorters and etc. use universal Bypass
Tip #15 Some good emulators :
Dolphin a wii and gamecube emulator ( check the compatibility list to check if the game work )
Citra 3DS emulator ( check the compatibility list to check if the game work )
BSNES HD beta if u want to play snes games on HD
PCSX2 the best ps2 emulator
EPSXE a little bit old but it's good (ps1)
DON'T use zsnes ( i guy on the comments said that )
RPCS3 PS3 ( check the compatibility list to check if the game work )
Xenia Xbox 360 ( check the compatibility list to check if the game work )
Cemu WiiU Emulator ( check the compatibility list to check if the game work )
a Decryptor for 3ds games if citra won't open the rom HERE
DS DeSmuME (OLD) ( if u have a good ds emulator give me the link pls )
Project64 N64
DOSBox DOS emulator ( check the compatibility list to check if the game work )
IF U HAVE any other emulator pls link it in the comments <3
Tip #16
Romsmania
CoolRoms
etc. are NOT SAFE
if you have any other tips share it =)

Heres some proof about sigma not being a trojan and omikron client proof from the sigma creator andro

The high GPU usage is due to the GPU acceleration or the UIs. And this is not comparable to other person's GPU usage since every GPU behave differently. You can compare this usage with vanilla 1.15.2's GPU usage. In my personal case, it's about +1~8% higher.
And the overall performance loss over the 1.8 clients is due to the 1.15 itself, the heavy UI, the missing optimisations (performance update soon), the obfuscation, etc
Some people are saying that "conhost.exe" is a malware... It's actually the console process spawned by java.exe which is used by Sigma (instead of the javaw.exe, the window version of java.exe without the console, that is mostly used for Minecraft).
Fun fact: Badlion client and Lunar client are also spawning conhost, and they aren't getting called out as malwares.
Here's a great explanation of what it is: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/4996/what-is-conhost.exe-and-why-is-it-running/

And Omikron client was not a bitcoin miner, here's the copypasta :
Omikron client didn't have any btc miner / rat / botnet or whatever. The thing running in background was a system to validate the usage of the auto alt / proxy from other computers. Therefore, if you used auto alt / auto proxy, your computer among others validated in some sort of P2P the usage of alts / proxies. If >50% of computers says that a "transaction" is good, it was validated. Omikron decided to do that to counter the abuse of auto alt / auto proxy.
But ofc you could disable that autorun in Omikron Client's setting. And it was clearly written in the client that it would autorun (but no body really read it) if you use auto alts / auto proxy.
Edit, another copypasta:
I know, this is missleading. In the code, finding alts is refenrenced as "mining" them because you have this usepass combo and sometime yay ! Its a working minecraft alt ! The whole problem about all this drama is that its old code written when the client was "ghost client" and putting it in a .m file intead of .minecraft, having the package not named omikron, not using omikron domain name in the code was a good idear to prevent memory scanning cheating software such as BLSquad to find "omikron" but as you can tell it has bring more trouble that anything. You shoudn't be scared, your cpu isn't and wont be used to mine crypto or any unwanted activity and you will soon be able to chose if you want the service to run. In the next release, beside the fact that all of this was moved to .minecraft/Omikron, using proper domain name etc, you will be able to choose if you are using the client and want the background service running to find alts or if you have the client installed but not using it you will be able to disable the background service.
The video that is spreading about Omikron client is only proving that it downloads an autorun, and runs it in the background, which is intended.

Be careful of people trying to spread that Sigma could be a virus. Most of the time, they're made up by people who are clueless and don't know about what they're talking about (ex: conhost).

The Blackmail Email Scam (part 5)

CURRENT THREAD: https://reddit.com/Scams/comments/jij7zf/the_blackmail_email_scam_part_6/

There have been many recent posts about the blackmail email scam, so I have written this post and will keep it stickied until the posts about the scam die down. Blackmail email scams have that name because they started as an email spam campaign, however there have also been reports of these scams being sent via SMS and physical mail. If you are reading this because you have received one of these emails and you are worried, you can stop worrying. The blackmail email scam is a spam campaign that is sent out to thousands of addresses at a time. The threats are lies and you do not have anything to worry about. In many cases, the emails will contain some sort of privileged information about you such as your name, part or all of your phone number, and your password. The emails may also look like they were sent from your own email address. The data is gathered from data breaches, and if the email looks like it came from your account that is due to email spoofing. You can use the service Have I Been Pwned? to see if you are in any publicly known data breaches. If you receive an email that contains a password that you currently use, you should immediately change that. Current recommended password guidelines say that you should use a different, complex password for every account. You can generate and save passwords using a password manager for convenience. You should also be using two factor authentication using an app like Google Authenticator instead of receiving codes through SMS.
Here are some news articles about this scam. Here is a story from Brian Krebs, and here is a story from the New York Times.
Below are a few examples, but if you receive an email that is similar but not the same as the examples you see, that does not matter and does not mean that the email is real. The spammers constantly switch up their templates in order to bypass spam filters, so it's normal to receive an email that hasn't yet been posted online.

I know, #######, is your password. You don't know me and you're thinking why you received this e mail, right?
Well, I actually placed a malware on the porn website and guess what, you visited this web site to have fun (you know what I mean). While you were watching the video, your web browser acted as a RDP (Remote Desktop) and a keylogger which provided me access to your display screen and webcam. Right after that, my software gathered all your contacts from your Messenger, Facebook account, and email account.
What exactly did I do?
I made a split-screen video. First part recorded the video you were viewing (split-screen video), and next part recorded your webcam (Yep! It's you doing nasty things!).
What should you do?
Well, I believe, $1900 is a fair price for our little secret. You'll make the payment via Bitcoin to the below address (if you don't know this, search "how to buy bitcoin" in Google).
BTC Address: x (It is cAsE sensitive, so copy and paste it)
Important:
You have 24 hours in order to make the payment. (I have an unique pixel within this email message, and right now I know that you have read this email). If I don't get the payment, I will send your video to all of your contacts including relatives, coworkers, and so forth. Nonetheless, if I do get paid, I will erase the video immidiately. If you want evidence, reply with "Yes!" and I will send your video recording to your 5 friends. This is a non-negotiable offer, so don't waste my time and yours by replying to this email.

Good and safe exploits to use and not what to use

Here are safe exploits to use and not what to use
To use:
Synapse X (strong executor but paid $20)
Krnl (free executor, only accessed via their discord not off of wearedevs) (key system is trash tho)
Not to use:
Jjsploit (a weak executor, often crashes, data miner, bitcoin miner, deletes important files)
Dansploit (virus and wants money to remove virus via bitcoin)
Anything off of Wearedevs (creator has a trojan on computer so anything on their comes with a virus)
Anything off of YouTube that is free or unheard of (sketchy and possibly malware)
Furk OS (extremely sketchy, AdWare, potential trojan/unwanted software)
Sirhurt (it is run by child predators and is paid therefore making you support them)
Sentinel v3 (a waste of money, no difference to v2)
Fluxus (unsafe, off of WeAreDevs)
Overall summary: Buy Synapse X, if you are poor join the krnl discord and download via that, don't go to WeAreDevs don't download things off YouTube and stay safe

What are the odds this sets my new PC on fire?

Okay so I'm building a new PC for work and gaming. I've never really worried about viruses much because my previous PCs were all garbage anyway and easily replaceable, but the one I'm building right now cost me everything I had. I opted for a 2080s with a Ryzen 5, 32G RAM, and a LOT of storage. Clearly, I don't want to screw this one up.
As far as piracy, I normally only download AAA games and editing software from sketchy websites. I've never been into the film piracy scene, since I'm a filmmaker myself.
Anyway, enough ratting myself out. What are the odds I get some bitcoin miner or a GPU killer intended to physically screw up my new PC beyond repair? Is it time for me to pull out of the piracy game? Is this too risky?
Edit: Thank you all for the advice! It sounds like I'm worrying too much and I'll be fine as long as I only download from piracy-approved sites and stick to a good A/V. I have Malwarebytes premium, so everything should be fine!

Desktop Window Manager and Client Service Runtime Process taking up significant GPU

This is my first post here, so forgive me if I get anything wrong here. I'm vaguely aware I should share the specs of PC, so here they are:
Dell Precision 5540 Mobile Workstation
Onto the problem in more detail, Desktop Window Manager and CSRSS are acting weird, taking up huge amounts of GPU when the computer is essentially idle. It seems to die down a bit sometimes, and come back other times, and usually it happens in massive spikes where they take up 90%+ of the GPU. I thought it might be a bitcoin miner virus or something, so I followed the malware removal thread that is pinned at the top of the subreddit, but none of them found anything (note: I didn't go for the second opinion software). I've been starting to doubt that it actually is a bitcoin miner because it notably only eats my integrated graphics, not my Nvidia GPU thing, which seems weird. I know I could find out by doing a factory reset, but I very much do not want to lose my files, and have experienced plenty of issues with this computer that I would not like to relive. As such, I don't experience performance drops in software that uses the nividia, its mainly focused on software such as google chrome that uses integrated graphics. I've done some amount of googling and found that this might be a nvidia specific problem, but haven't found very many solutions. I did find something about thermal throttling that I didn't understand at all, and a partially working solution in lowering the priority of Desktop Window Manager to low. The priority solution appears to be effective most of the time at keeping it from spiking over 50%.
This started a few days ago, and the only thing I can think of that happened was I downloaded some files (I wanted to put a rom hack for an old pokemon game on my wii u, so I had to get the rom file and the patcher and stuff). This is what made me think it was some sort of bitcoin miner, but now I'm just super confused.

Tldr; DWM and CSRSS are taking like 90% of my integrated GPU , and I have no clue why.

Tinfoil hat time... Don't take seriously, or do I guess. Whatever, I'm not your mother. This would make for a great story though.

The creator of the game, "Plague Inc" was interviewed for a CDC blog post from 2013.
How did you ensure it was a realistic game?
Without a medical background, I did a lot of online research in order to make sure it felt realistic to players. Luckily, I have always been very interested in biology as well as economics and current affairs. This helped a lot when I was building the algorithms and models inside the game. A critical stage in the game is the ‘Infection Cycle’ that dictates how people become infected with a disease and how they infect others. The game revolves around this stage, and I spent months making sure that it worked properly. The core design is based on the concept of ‘basic reproduction rate’ and I found lots of great papers online which taught me more about it.
What kind of audience does Plague Inc. reach and what do they get from it?
Plague Inc. has been downloaded over 10 million times worldwide and over 200 million games have been played to date. As an intelligent and sophisticated strategy game, I think Plague Inc. appeals to people looking for something more meaningful and substantial than the majority of mobile games. It makes people think about infectious disease in a new light – helping them realize the threats that we face every day.
Were players of Plague Inc. interested to know you had been invited to the CDC?
Yes, the reaction to the news has been extremely positive and people are keen to know more! In the first 24 hours after I announced my visit to the CDC almost 1 million people had seen tweets about it! I think people were excited to see that a prestigious organization like the CDC was interested in the game. A lot of people also hoped that visiting the CDC would give me ideas for future updates of the game (which it did!)
What did you learn at CDC?
It was fascinating to meet the people who are working hard every day to keep us safe from the type of threats that Plague Inc. features. I got a tour of the Emergency Operations Center and Broadcast Center, as well as a trip to the CDC museum. This gave me a lot of contextual information about how the CDC works, which will help me add a greater level of realism to the game in the future – especially in terms of how humanity reacts to outbreaks.
What are you working on now and what do you have coming out next?
Plague Inc. is still proving to be an incredibly popular game, so my main focus must be to keep improving the game and adding new content for players. Recently, I released an update that added a zombie-themed plague, as well as translating the game into four other languages. In the next update, I will be adding a new game mode for players, translating it into Japanese/Korean and hopefully adding some CDC content!
From this, we see that even before He went to the CDC over 200 million games had been played, and in the last 7 years, who knows how many more. Since 2013 he has taken highly detailed actual infectious disease data and implemented it into the game.
So at this point, we can assume that Plague Inc. It is a REALISTIC simulation, at least to a certain degree. Adding to this we know that hundreds of millions of simulations have been run. These simulations feature real-world decisions being made, realistic public events, and real sociological changes and variables. Even assuming the worst possible accuracy of the data(remember, companies like Twitter, Google, Facebook have no less than Ten Thousand data points on every US Citizen.), given enough time, a sufficiently robust deep learning AI can optimize this data to an extreme degree.
Let’s also assume that in addition to these PLAYER driven simulations, several AI-controlled simulations have been run as well. Not necessarily with Plague Inc.’s engine, but with Pandemic researchers. With this much data, it just makes sense that at some point this game would be able to not only model the “perfect virus” in order to infect a specific amount of people and cause a specific amount of symptoms. In addition, if the game uses actual virus genomics data, it could even, given enough time, develop the recipe to create this virus for us.
This isn’t even the extent of this AI possibility. Narrow, data-driven AIs are capable of crunching an obscene amount of data. And if you feed in the right data (GPS movements, Spending Habits, public reactions to public events and news stories, hell, I’m even sure memes could be effectively factored into these algorithms) these systems could very easily be linked together into a massive simulation that factors in and predicts all sorts of “likely eventualities”.
Brexit, Trump, Sanders, China, are all great examples of events that have an almost limitless amount of data points on the internet, all categorized by companies like Cambridge Analytica. Not only your reaction to the specific stimulus, but what you do after you've reacted to the stimulus, and how you react to that next stimulus, and so on and so on Ad Infinitum. Not to mention all the quizzes you’ve been filling out on Facebook, your Instagram account, your Spotify, your Tinder likes and dislikes and matches, YouTube and Pornhub browsing data all get fed into these systems. Ever wonder why Facebook and Amazon are making so much money? We can CLEARLY see that Billionaires run the world and can do ANYTHING they want right in front of us and they face ZERO consequences. Epstein didn't kill himself proved this. And Panama paper before that.
Hell Reddit accounts are the worst of the worst. Every time we upvote a meme, we are running calculations for these algorithms. We have become processing power for these AI Overlords. We willingly provide these companies with all of the data they need, they give us free smartphones and we welcome and integrate them into our daily lives. They listen to our conversations, and we are told that it is just for the mass aggregate data and that nobody actually listens to them. Humans don't listen to them, but Deep Learning Neural Nets certainly do. but forget about all the AI systems for a second. Collectively, the entire internet-connected totality of the human race is an actual computer.
If you think about how we all interact with each other in a single day, we can assume that most interactions function almost exactly like a math problem, just with a seemingly infinite amount of variables. Impossible to know that you said an innocuous thing that triggered the lady sitting next to you in some way that she was in a shitty mood for the rest of the day and ended up impulse buying $30 in lottery tickets. She was extremely rude to several people that day and acted like a typical "Karen" about it. All of this made a total of twenty-six people post funny statuses on Facebook or tweeted about her, which all were, to some varying degree of engagement, responded to and liked and emojied about. not to mention all the other interactions that took place in all that. Even if these AI algorithms miss seventy-five percent of all that sensory data and causal reasoning, we still make computations on that based on our own actions. The next time that lady sees that man in the coffee shop, she might remember the time she had a shitty day because of him. Then she iterates the loop again, adding more data to the pile... This process will inevitably guide not only each individual person to their own predictable outcomes, but humanity as a whole will eventually lead to some almost unavoidable outcome. We are a Neural Net running constantly. Our entire human race is working out calculations, and the interconnectedness of the world wide web has increased our processing power to effectively infinite levels. You know in "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" where they make a computer that is as big as a planet, well, we ARE that computer. (a better example, in my opinion, is found in the book "Children of Time" where spoiler alert: A semi-sentient hivemind race of ants get turned into an actual computer that an uploaded human mind that became part of a possible already conscious AI system eventually gets transferred to where it becomes a sentient human/AI Hybrid spaceship made of ants piloted by a semi-symbiotic sentient Spider Human Alliance)
When asked how much data is on the internet, Google says:
"One way to answer this question is to consider the sum total of data held by all the big online storage and service companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook. Estimates are that the big four store at least 1,200 petabytes between them. That is 1.2 million terabytes (one terabyte is 1,000 gigabytes)."
That is 1.2 billion gigabytes. Just to put this into perspective, let's say your phone has 512GB, for every Gig of data you have on your phone, these companies have 2,343,750GB... or put another way... for every megabyte you have, these companies have 2,343.75 Gigs of data. We all create all the data they need to do pretty much anything conceivable given enough computing power.
Speaking of us collectively being a massive computing system... Do you know what else does an unfathomable amount of calculations per second? You, you guessed it, Bitcoin. Across all of the Bitcoin network, mining could easily be doing billions of calculations every second.
from bitcoinmining.com ”With Bitcoin, miners use special software to solve math problems and are issued a certain number of bitcoins in exchange. This provides a smart way to issue the currency and also creates an incentive for more people to mine.”
What math problems could these be working on? Without being able to look at the entirety of the math problems being worked out, it would be impossible to tell what they are working on. But imagine if these AI systems could distribute these ENORMOUSLY massive simulations on every single computer that is mining bitcoins, I think there would be enough data processing power do run something massive. Add in all the other Crypto mining and, well that's a lot of math. They aren't just doing your standard Multiplication tables either.
In conclusion, we absolutely are living in a simulation, just not how you think. There very well could be an extremely large number of simulations running, using REAL WORLD data to create predictive algorithms to not only predict outcomes but MANAGE them. i.e. what Cambridge Analytica did with Brexit and Trump. We know that this happened, and if that is possible, imagine what else could be possible to manufacture? One man can build a log cabin in ten days, ten men can build a log cabin in one day. And one computer can do a lot more math than ten people can...
TL;DR: Billionaires control the world using AI, and we are the operating system. We already live in the matrix, and it is too late to change anything about that.

Is this increase in % CPU normal in task manager. /Help me get rid of Bitcoin miners and malware

So i wanted to download a torrent for a game from IGG games but my bitdefender anti virus always said that there was a bitcoin miner wanting to start up the process. I doubt it has started the process because my anti virus always blocked it fast when dedected. It blocks it but this warning always keeps coming back when i start up my pc.
I tried manually to delete those files but it just creates a new folder that is similar with these contents. I delete it but it comes back under a new name in a hidden folder of windows. (there where some .htm files in it)
Here's pictures with the warning + the proces of my pc monitored by Process Hacker software:
-> https://imgur.com/a/tfe1DEQ
I did this tutorial video: youtube.com/watch?v=zedALn7hZ4o
where the guy, a local repair shop guy runs the pc trough with a bunch of anti virus programs:
Nothing dedected, except some PUP's with adwcleaner.
---
NOW... after all that bitdefender doesn't give me warnings anymore...
but i can still see cpu process spikes when afk and when i open task manager for the first time it goes from 90-100% to 40. Or from 80¨% to 20.
See here a gif of what happens: https://gyazo.com/b8afa4e4cfffb8c6924f4974ed0b6287
I just want to know if that's normal or that means there's still something in the system?
(Google chrome proces has 17 processes but only 2 tabs are open?)
Thanks for your help already!

Sextortion by scammer through email

You may not know me, and you are probably wondering why you are getting this email, right? I'm a Hacker who cracked your devices. I setup a malware on the adult video (porn) website and guess what, you visited this site to have fun (you know what I mean). While you were watching videos, your internet browser started out functioning as a "HRDP" – Hidden Remote Desktop Protocol having a keylogger which gave me accessibility to your screen and webcam. After that, my software program obtained all your contacts and files. You entered a password on the websites you visited, and I intercepted it. Of course, you can change it, or already changed it. But it doesn't matter, my malware updated it every time.
What did I do? I generated a backup of your every system (private document files, video, photos, all files). I created a double-screen video. 1st part shows the video you were watching (you've got a good taste ha ha . . .), and 2nd part shows the recording of your webcam. Do not try to find and destroy my virus! (All your data is already uploaded to a remote server) Do not try to contact me. Various security services will not help you; formatting a disk or destroying a device will not help either, since your data is already on a remote server. I guarantee you that I will not disturb you again after payment, as you are not my single victim. This is a hacker code of honor. Don't be mad at me, everyone has their own work.
exactly what should you do? Well, in my opinion, $ 500 (USD) Dollars is a fair price for our little secret. You'll make the payment by Bitcoin (search "Bitcoin Wallet" in Application Store then Download & Install) Make a deposit to your wallet. After that, transfer it to my wallet. My Bitcoin (BTC) wallet address: 👉 1HMsu3Dg3ocegPN2psqQtnsgZESeHVuxmN 👈
(It is case sensitive, Bitcoin wallet address Beginning with 1 and Ending with N)
Important: You have 2 days in order to make the payment. (I've a Facebook pixel in this mail, and at this moment I know that you have read through this email message). To track the reading of a message and the actions in it, I use the Facebook pixel. Thanks to them. (Everything that is used for the authorities can help us.) If I do not get the Bitcoin, I will certainly send out your video recording to all your contacts including relatives, coworkers and all contacts. Having said that, if I receive the payment, I'll destroy the video immediately. If you need evidence, reply with "Yes" and I will certainly send out your video recording to your 6 contacts. It is a non-negotiable offer, don't waste my personal time and yours by responding to this message.

Desktop PC, CPU temp rises to 100 degrees C

OK. I'll try and do this one by the numbers:
System: Desktop PC. i7 series CPU, AIO liquid cooler. Windows 7, upgraded to win 10, dual boots into Linux. 32 Gb ram and an nVidia 1080 GPU. Coolermaster case.
Problem: GPU temp rises to 100 degrees where it stays, thermally throttling the processor and eventually turning off the PC. Problem occurs in normal use. Temperature is just about stable when the system is idle, but almost any app pushes the CPU temperature higher.
This is a new development: this same system has been running fine up until a few days ago. The problems started after I messed up an ENB install for Skyrim. I intended to upgrade the ENBSeries plugin and stupidly installed the oldest available version rather than the most recent. That put a lot of stress on the system, and now the system overheats even without any game running.
The problem also seems to happen in Linux. I have a dual boot system, and while I haven't got the Linux side set up for precise temperature monitoring, the fans run full-on and the machine runs slow even in Linux. So it's probably not a purely software issue.
I've monitored the temperature with HWMonitor and Speccy and the CPU is the affected component. Everything else seems to be within acceptable levels.
Tried so far: Cleaned the fans and got the dust out of the case. Upgraded OS to Window 10 (mainly in the hopes that being able to use all that memory would help, after finding out that Win7 Home only used 8gb). Booted into Linux and run a virus check. Found and quarantined a couple of bitcoin-miner trojans (but I don't think that's the whole story because the machine is also slow and hot under Linux).
Yet to try: Taking the radiator out of the case and checking it. (I have blown compressed air through the thing from both sides). Verifying that the cooler pump is working. I also haven't yet tried manually setting all the fans tp 100% to see what's working, mainly because I don't yet know how. I'm also not sure the radiator fans are working. I can feel an air flow from the top of the case but it's nothing like the case fan (which is generally running at maximum) and it could well be explained by the case fans moving air around inside the case.
At this point I suspect that something has broken in the water cooler system. I'm not sure how to diagnose that or fix it, so advice would be welcome. I'm happy to take the system to the local repair shop, but I'd like to know what the issue is a bit more clearly first.
There is also, probably, a malware issue. Again, this is probably a recent thing, but passed me by entirely until I upgraded to Windows 10, so it could have been there for some time. Unfortunately, attempts to do a proper system scan are being impeded by the fact that I have a fairly short window before the system heats up to the point where nothing really happens.
That's all I can think of, offhand. Advice on the cooling issue and the malware side of it would be very welcome.

OS and most applications/games are suddenly unbearably slow

Hi all. Suddenly most of my 3D games are really slow (even WoW classic takes 6 minutes to boot up!), as well as software (BattleNet launcher, Steam). Slow as in takes minutes to boot up (compared to seconds normally) as well as hanging up with "not responding" and slow on loading content, and in games I get stutter once they slowly booted up. The entire OS feels sluggish, it's like PC barely manages to run it without bigger hick-ups, but chokes on games. Installation of software seems slow, downloads in chrome are slow to finish (when virus scan is run on them, I guess). Even restarting system is slow, despite it being on SSD.
Relatively new build, I'm on a Ryzen 2700 and GTX 1060/GTX 770. I first thought it's a bitcoin miner, but the GPU/CPU usage in task manager is completely normal. Tried benchmarking with CPU-Z thinking something wrong with CPU, it performed alright. Power settings are on performance what I can see. HDD/SSD read/write speed is normal.
It feels like the CPU is operating at like 10% capacity, which is barely enough for browsers and some simple games/applications, rest hanging up. What can this possibly be, and how do I go about troubleshooting this?
Already tried:

Edit: Solved, seems my overclock settings were at fault.

[Release] PoE Addon Launcher and Manager (PAL)

V1.4 HAS BEEN RELEASED PLEASE UPDATE YOUR LAUNCHER! https://github.com/POE-Addon-LaunchePoE-Addon-Launchereleases

Hi there, I'm Rizlim I created: https://github.com/Pastillage/PoE_Level_Buddy (Check the twitch URL in the readme if you don't believe me); Also here's the previous release post: https://www.reddit.com/pathofexile/comments/9himba/release_poe_addon_launcher_and_manager_pal_first/
Anyhow, I'm proud to announce a project I've been working on for a little bit, namely, an Addon Manager and Launcher for Path of Exile! https://github.com/POE-Addon-LaunchePoE-Addon-Launchereleases
Here's a video showcasing the base features: https://youtu.be/hR9b4XUZtNM
First things first, there will be bugs, this is the first time I'm releasing this to the public so I'm expecting it to not work for 50% of the people trying it, that's just how it is, that being said please report bugs either on this post, /PoEAddonLauncher, create an issue on github or just DM me somewhere on the internet.
Now let's get down to business.

What is working

  • Downloading and updating Addons
  • Downloading and updating Filters (Through Filterblast API)
  • Launching Addons when you want to launch PoE
  • Launching Addons from the installed tab
  • Adding your own addons (Through repositories)

What is planned?

  • Better way to add Addons and Filters
  • Add your own Repositories/APIs
  • In-game overlay for using website based tools (i.e. Vorici Calc)
  • In-game overlay version of PoE Level Buddy (yes, I'm reviving it)
  • Downloading and updating user generated Soundpacks
  • Probably a dedicated server rather than letting github do everything.
  • C# Version
Now that we've had that, how do I install / use it? I've created a video just for that! Watch it here: https://youtu.be/hR9b4XUZtNM
What addons are currently available?
Where can I download it? * https://github.com/POE-Addon-LaunchePoE-Addon-Launchereleases
Why should I trust you to not install some weird viruses / hid some bitcoin miner?
  • The code is fully open-source so have a look for yourself, I also hope that having made POE Level Buddy at least gives me some credibility.
Ok, then maybe I can trust you then what about any random addon tool maker that can just add viruses / bitcoin miners / ransomware / whatever.
  • I will ofcourse not just let anyone upload anything they like, I'm only adding tools that are proven to be legit and working.
What if they add some bad software post-release?
  • I ofcourse can't guarantee what anyone does with their programs, all I can do is remove the software from our listings, as with everything on the internet, don't just download everything make some effort to understand what you are downloading and what it could do.
Will you allow closed-source addons in PAL? * Right now I will not allow closed-source software in the Official Repositories, once I've released custom repositories as a feature, users could make their own repository with their closed software. So, the only way to get closed software through PAL will be through adding your own repository.

Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies are in reality a hyperinflationary multilevel-marketing pyramid cult of anarcho-capitalism and contradictory hypocrisy, prove me wrong/change my mind effort post itt

Reminder, Satoshi's Bitcoin and every other cryptocoin is designed to enrich a tiny minority of oligarchs who produce the supply for measurably less work/capital input than late adopters. These members form the inner circle of the cult who are than heavily incentivized to disseminate propaganda and psychological marketing tactics to the public "investors" who further spread the marketing-cult "white paper" claims like a virus in the hope that they will be able to leverage their low-effort low-capital database tokens though the smoke and mirrors and low liquidity exchanges and tape painting in order to pass their bags for real capital as all the later users buy into the dream that they too will become one of the oligarchs.
For future alpaca farmers, Sexton and Saitone laid out some of the major hallmarks of a speculative bubble, including: (1) The asset not the product is the thing being marketed (i.e. live alpacas, not fiber),
Bitcoin cult members sell users the dream of egalitarian wealth, when in reality the math and code behind Bitcoin simply created a system where existing capital is proportionally transfered into Bitcoin during the temporary hyperinflationary phase at an accelerated rate based on how early one begins to to set up server farms. Early users spent measurably less capital to generate significantly more of the supply. The Bitcoin protocol and mining algorithm is not some fancy complex math (Bitcoin mining math amounts to a lottery system, more capital gives more lottery ticket printers). Mining boils down to wasting more work and energy for less output as time passes.
(2) investors have unrealistic expectations (alpaca fiber would replace wool, despite the lack of infrastructure; and besides the fact that people don’t really wear that much wool),
Cryptocoins seek to turn money and now entire industries and services into speculative gift cards where the majorty of the supply is in the hands of a few "pre-sale ICO" kings and a few existing wealthy whales who have set up large warehouses in China, Washington, South East Asia, etc. Are we to expect the future robber barons who bought a bunch of gamer graphics cards to waste energy running this software deserve anything?
https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/03/09/bitcoin-mining-energy-prices-smalltown-feature-217230
https://www.popularmechanics.com/culture/web/a11610/this-is-what-happens-when-a-bitcoin-mine-burns-down-17410755/
Honestly, if the mining software actually produced real world useful work though distributed computing like BOINC ( https://boinc.berkeley.edu/ ) , [email protected] ( http://folding.stanford.edu/ ) - than mining would have a measurable value but instead the computational energy is wasted though a convoluted "guess a random number" game. Also note, guessing a random number and increasing the amount of capital to waste by guessing a random number (leading 0 hash) is not to be confused with a secure decenteralized ledger of trust - this is a gimmicky ass way that can be observed being actively exploited by pools and large hashfarms in many of the smaller PoW altcoins.
See also how smart contracts can be manipulated by large mining operations:
https://steemit.com/ethereum/@dhumphrey/f2pool-manipulates-usd1-2-million-on-the-ethereum-blockchain-during-the-status-im-ico
and note that PoS systems are even bigger scams (i.e. Raiblocks and supposedly the future of Ethereum) where the supply is premined and PoW transaction verification rewards are statistically granted to the richest users who coincidently are the early adopters or existing capital hodlers, poors don't even qualify for staking rewards.
(3) information is controlled through industry sources (most of the information the researchers were able to dig up was put out by breeding associations),
Even in the more reputable publications, journalists boil down the computer science into the marketing claims of what Blockchain and smart contracts cultist CLAIM it can do. These are solutions in search of problems.
Blockchains are inefficenct databases, and lying about data input or stealing the deed to your house never seems to be a problem.
Smart contracts need a data source to trigger, and how can data be trusted in an adveserial decenteralized network? A set of trusted "Oricales" who 'stake' their beanie babies? What's the use case for a smart contract? What happens if someone puts up a smart contract to assisinate the head of all the three letter agencies, the Queen, and the UN, and the international monitary fund?
(4) small scale investors predominate (Foster Farms did not open an alpaca plant).
The cult of bagholders think they are the kings.
The underlying bitcoin/cryptocoin systems are simply a shitty anarcho-capitalist scam cult.
The idealist vision behind ecash is great and all but it's a huge mistake to dismiss the side effect of further enabling a system designed for anarcho-capitalist black markets. This could easily spiral out into a long winded debate and flame war, but ill just point out that the game theory behind bitcoin favors early adopters (just some dudes who ran some software before other people.. software that can be duplicated ad infinitum ) at the expense of extracting real wealth from users who join at any later time.
Bitcoiners claim Satoshi style ecash systems are a response to the 2008 financial collapse, fiat inflation, central banks etc, and yet the replacement system Satoshi designed just exacerbates the existing capital system into a measurably worse oligarchical techno-cult which embraces the enablement of lawlessness. If the claim of "trustless" and "decenteralized" is a main selling point, it's an illusion at best and manipulative propaganda at worst as there are centeral points of control within the cryptocoin ecosystems- i.e. /bitcoin censorship, anonymous developers, mining pool operators, really fucked up exchanges operating behind 7 shell companies in seychelles, the whole shitshow behind tether pulling what amounts to be fraud and theft of large sums of assorted cryptocurrencies simply because exchanges are central power hodlers and can exploit normie small fish traders (exchanges are poised to even exploit the whales) via front running and cooking the books though manipulative insider trading.
There's no accountablity in the cryptocoin space - so while tradiational systems are flawed, we at least know who to blame and how to find them and hold them legally responsible. With anarcho-capital systems, we lose that option. Additionally, the production of the money supply in these specific implementations of cryptocoins are measurably worse than traditional money minting and distribution systems.
One important point: if we actually include all 7 billion people on the earth, most of whom have zero BTC or Ethereum, the Gini coefficient is essentially 0.99+. And if we just include all balances, we include many dust balances which would again put the Gini coefficient at 0.99+. Thus, we need some kind of threshold here. The imperfect threshold we picked was the Gini coefficient among accounts with ≥185 BTC per address, and ≥2477 ETH per address. So this is the distribution of ownership among the Bitcoin and Ethereum rich with $500k as of July 2017.
In what kind of situation would a thresholded metric like this be interesting? Perhaps in a scenario similar to the ongoing IRS Coinbase issue, where the IRS is seeking information on all holders with balances >$20,000. Conceptualized in terms of an attack, a high Gini coefficient would mean that a government would only need to round up a few large holders in order to acquire a large percentage of outstanding cryptocurrency — and with it the ability to tank the price.
With that said, two points. First, while one would not want a Gini coefficient of exactly 1.0 for BTC or ETH (as then only one person would have all of the digital currency, and no one would have an incentive to help boost the network), in practice it appears that a very high level of wealth centralization is still compatible with the operation of a decentralized protocol. Second, as we show below, we think the Nakamoto coefficient is a better metric than the Gini coefficient for measuring holder concentration in particular as it obviates the issue of arbitrarily choosing a threshold.
...However, the maximum Gini coefficient has one obvious issue: while a high value tracks with our intuitive notion of a “more centralized” system, the fact that each Gini coefficient is restricted to a 0–1 scale means that it does not directly measure the number of individuals or entities required to compromise a system.
Specifically, for a given blockchain suppose you have a subsystem of exchanges with 1000 actors with a Gini coefficient of 0.8, and another subsystem of 10 miners with a Gini coefficient of 0.7. It may turn out that compromising only 3 miners rather than 57 exchanges may be sufficient to compromise this system, which would mean the maximum Gini coefficient would have pointed to exchanges rather than miners as the decentralization bottleneck.
Conversely, if one considers “number of distinct countries with substantial mining capacity” an essential subsystem, then the minimum Nakamoto coefficient for Bitcoin would again be 1, as the compromise of China (in the sense of a Chinese government crackdown on mining) would result in >51% of mining being compromised.

Found Tor running in task manager after deleting the exe a while ago. has my computer been compromised?

here is a screenshot of task manager and another one of the folder with the exe in it. I found this a few months ago and forgot about it but it appeared again in my task anger after deleting it before. is it a virus? how can i stop it from coming back https://imgur.com/NI9tXyn
https://imgur.com/l4boIK7
Edit: i never once installed Tor myself which is why its so suspicious. deleted everything in temp and scanned with lots of antivirus software. It did find what it said was a bitcoin miner so the Tor.exe could be something to do with that?
thanks again for the help

MiningPoolHub/AwesomeMiner/MultiMinningPool FAQ

Hello everyone,
As some of you have probably noticed I have been taking the time to try my best to help some of you answer some questions.

However there has been a lot of repeat questions lately so hopefully this will help. I will continue to update this as we go, please check back if you have any questions as I will try to update this frequently

If you have a question you do not see covered please feel free to comment and I'll add it and try to answer it. I have added a unresolved to the beginning of this FAQ. I will number them below. Please comment below with the answer, to help me identify which question you are answering please add. UR#(x) to your comment as well, with x being the number of the unresolved question.

Before we start I will get my disclaimer out of the way.
I do not work with/for any of the developers of these programs. I do not have all the answers. Some of these are my best guess, others may be wrong or may have a better solution than the one I give. Please feel free to correct me if this is the case and I will edit as we go.

Set-up
We have two text guides here by waffleflops one for awesome miner and one for multi mining pool.
We also have a YouTube video guide by razorseal

YouTube Video Guide: Here
Awesome Miner(AM): Text Tutorial
MultiPoolMiner(MPM): Text Tutorial

So which one should I use?
It seems like it depends on what you want from the program, Awesome Miner is more like Nicehash in the way it looks but can be a little more complicated. MPM is pretty simple but it has less customization for those not familiar with programming.

NX18: "I find MPM to be better. No stability issues, no funky windows service always running in the background, and it checks MPH for best coin to mine whereas AM checks whattomine.com and they differ significantly sometimes."

MPM also has a minimum dev fee of 10 minutes per day (even if you set donate to 0) whereas AM does not seem to have dev fees. Both I believe have fees included that go to the devs of the miner programs themselves. However these fees for the miner devs will be attached whether you use MPM/AM or solo miner with the miner dev programs anyway.

Unresolved Questions

1. Anyone have solutions on crashing or very low Hashrates in sgminers with AMD GPU's in Awesome Miner?
2. Why is Lyra2Z using only 40% power from my GPU (GTX980ti)? Where/how can it tweak the settings?
I believe this is having to do with Awesome Miner 3.I did not see it asked or posted but I am curious if there's a way to bench all gpus. Instead of selecting gpu 0 and benching, waiting until its done and moving on to gpu 1 and so on. I have 8 nvidia gpus, just wondering if there's a way to auto bench all of them in a row so I can walk away and go to bed, be done I'm the middle of the night.

General MPH Questions

1.Hashrate is not the same on my miner as it is on the dashboard?
From MPH: "Hashrate showing on site is just an estimated value. Pool doesn't know about miner very much. It just collects certain "shares" which is some piece of hash that satisfies certain conditions. So don't worry, it's all about probability thing. Your hashrate on site can go up and down time to time."
There is some luck involved when mining in pools it is like playing the lottery. NiceHash paid at a certain rate because you were not mining coins and getting paid you were getting paid for the hash you are providing.

2. Balances on MPH what are the brackets?
The brackets are coins that have not yet been confirmed enough times on the blockchain. Any coins not in brackets have been confirmed.

3. How long will it take for my coins to show up, transfer to and from the exchange, be credited to my auto exchange coin?

I have been seeing a lot of questions about this so I made a flowchart which you can view Here

Short Answer: It depends could be minutes could be days
Long Answer: It has to be exchanged first and then placed in auto-exchange balance balance.
So you mine coin
Coin credited but unconfirmed (this can take time depending on coin)
Coin is confirmed and credited for auto exchange.
Coin is then placed on exchange. So again has to be transferred and again has to be confirmed but on exchange side.
Coin is most likely converted into btc then into auto-exchange coin at exchange.
Then auto-exchange coin is sent back to your balance on mph. So again has to be confirmed before appearing.
Depending on how fast a coin is confirmed will depend on how fast it appears in your balance.
If you stopped mining today it your balance most likely continue to grow over time.
However if you continue to mine it should in theory catch up and you will see you balance grow at a semi if not expected rate.

Supplemental:Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding, but this should mean it changes column, not disappears from balance entirely, no?
You will not know exact balance until it is sent back over from the exchange. This is because of the fact that you are exchanging the coins against one another. If one coin is up and one is down you could be losing or gaining value depending on the situation. This is why it seems that coins on the exchange disappear without your auto-exchange coins balance going up right away. Reference question 8 for more info

4. What is the best coin to auto-exchange?
This depends, just remember BTC has high transaction fees and can take some time to confirm. You will want to have a good amount of BTC before moving to your wallet to minimize the amount you lose to transaction fees.
I personally use LTC, it is quick and transaction fees are low compared to BTC but can still be exchanged for fiat on coinbase.
At the time of writing this, if you move BTC from MPH you will be charged a $4.96 fee, if you move LTC the fee to move to your wallet is $0.19

5. Can I hold on to certain coins instead of auto-exchanging them?
Yes, just go to auto exchange on MPH and switch off the coin you do not want to auto exchange.

6. This dashboard sucks! Why do they not have a one page dashboard?
Good news it is in the works, improvements are on the way so no need to keep posting about it!

7. Why is my coin not being exchanged?
Two possible reasons A)On balances page it says "coins that don't have enough volume on exchange for a certain amount of time will not be auto exchanged to desired coin. These coins may be sent back as original coin or btc."
B)On auto-exchange page. Mph accumulates coins so that they can be efficiently converted at the exchange. If a coins pool has not mined a certain amount it will not be sent over until it reaches the set number. It seems like it is transferred over to the exchange as one large amount instead of small amounts.

8. AwesomeMiner said I was going to make $X.XX dollars and when auto-exchange coins came in I made less than it said!
Couple things, do not take to heart the exact number it gives you. It is not exact remember it is like a lottery.
Remember your coins at first will trickle in over time but the longer you mine it will begin to average out.
Remember you are exchanging coins for you auto-exchange coin this means if there is a decrease or increase between them you could gain more or less.
Example if you mine VTC and auto-exchange into LTC.
You send VTC to auto-exchange it will most likely be converted into BTC first. If BTC is having a good day that day and has increased in price by 30% and VTC has not grown well that day you will be trading your VTC at a loss.
Then this same situation will happen again when converting the BTC to LTC.
So again a bit of a lottery you may gain or lose some of your mined coins value depending on the exchange rate between the coins at the time.

9. Add more Cryptonight coins please.
They are apparently working on adding new coins like Electroneum.

10. Why can't I auto-exchange BTC?
My theory is that it is because BTC is not mined on MPH, remember the coins are sent to the exchange when they hit a certain amount in order to make it efficient. Because BTC is not mined on MPH it would not be efficient to exchange BTC to other coins once it has been credited to your account.

11. Do I need a wallet for each coin I mine? How do I set-up a wallet?
No, only the coin(s) you want to get paid in. Click on coins pool on MPH and you will see a wallet option Add the correct address for each coin you want to be paid in, note you cannot use another coins address or you risk losing your coins. For example you should not put your Bitcoin address into your Litecoin wallet address section.

12. My wallet address keeps on changing, do I need to keep updating my wallet address?
Take from Coinbase: This is done to protect your privacy, so that a third-party can not view all other transactions associated with your account simply by using a blockchain explorer to look-up an address they know to be yours.
All addresses that have been generated for your account will remain associated with your account forever. They are safe to re-use to receive future payments, but for the prior stated reasons, we recommend using a unique address for all transactions.

13.Is there a easy way I can track my Profits/Hashrate/Workers?
Yes credit to JaymZZZ Click Here

14. I click on manage wallet from the balances menu and enter my account number, I get the error saying Failed to update your account: Invalid coin address.
Make sure you are adding the address to the correct coin. A bitcoin address for example should only be added to the bitcoin wallet, it should not be added to any other wallet. (Reference question 11)

15. Is there a fee for auto-exchange?
Yes 0.2%

Awesome Miner

1. I do not want to mine that algo, I turn it off but it still mines it!
Go to online services, edit, change profit switching from yes to no

2. Why is it mining something less profitable?
Make sure you go to tools and then benchmark Make sure you right click and save hashrate occasionally it will improve your profit switching over time.

3. I can't get the miner to run?
Did you exclude it from anti-virus?
You may need to reinstall.
Uninstall
then in search bar type in %localappdata%\awesomeminer (delete this folder)
Type in %appdata% go to awesome miner folder and delete this one as well
Reinstall awesomeminer
Do not run aweseomminer
Go to anti-virus and exclude all folders with awesomeminer (including the ones in the local and appdata folders)

4. How do i delete a Miner?
samualsmash: https://i.imgur.com/SSr1rnH.png

5. Can I do anything to make improvements?
puch0021:You can use VertMiner (which is what is used by OCM) to increase your hash rate compared to AwesomeMiner's default CCminer. You have to choose it for Lyra instead of CC miner. See: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/managedsoftware.aspx Download Vertminer and extract software. Go to awesomeminer's options -> managed software -> add new user defined mining software: Type in VertMiner for description, full compatibility mode, and compatible software as CCminer. Everything in the algorithm should be disabled expect Lyra2ReV2 which should be enabled. Double click in under defined command line argument and add lyra2v2 as text. Click ok. Go to profit profiles in awesome miner. Select nvidia GPU and edit. In the mining software list there should be a new VertMiner entry. Check this box to enable it. Then click configure and then under path click browse. Click local. Select the Vertminer folder you previously made. Now whenever lyra is called for, vertminer should be used. If you try to bench mark with this enabled, it will fail but it works for mining. You can then use your mining results to manually edit your profit profile value for Lyra2REv2 (that was otherwise has the old value for ccminer.) On my 1060 it went from 21 to 22.8. Keep in mind vertminer takes 2% dev fees but it still works out to be faster than cc miner. let me know if this was any help!
I used one click miners vertminer since it was already installed.

6. Whenever Awesome Miner starts on a new algo and opens new instances of the CLI miner application/s, the window steal the focus from whatever you're doing. Anyone else super annoyed by this? Anyone know of a way to prevent this?
Stop mining, click more, properties, environment, console window mode, hide window, start mining again.

MultiPoolMiner (MPM)

1. I see a yellow stripe wich says multipoolminer is between 7% and 17% more profitable, which is nice. under this strip I see 2 lines with miner, BTC and Euro. (in my case) which of those btc values end up on your miningpoolhub balance? or both?
NX18:" Neither. Those values are best guesses by that script, hence why beside the dollar figure it shows the +/- variance which sometimes is really high like 25%, meaning that scripts best guess could be wrong by that much"
It is showing the 2nd best, If it is not the best at the time it will not show that text and just give you the comparison.

2. It keeps say NiceHash API failed what should I do? You can ignore it or as chillfisch points out that you can just delete the nicehash folder to get rid of this warning.

So I finally gave Honeyminer a try. (my personal semi-review)

This review was last updated 11-30-18
When I first was interested in trying this program I couldn't find anything about it. it seems a lot of people were too scared to try it since their is like no information about it other then from the web page itself. to be honest I was a bit scared to try it. I've tried many other software of this kind, on a "test" machine I'm not afraid to lose on a secondary network and router... incase its a scam or gonna give me a virus and I suggest anyone installing mining software do the same as a rule of thumb. please keep in mind the software is still relatively new and they are working to improve it still. They seem to be hiring as well if your interested in helping them grow by working for them look near the bottom for their contact e-mail. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
This review is for the windows version of Honyminer Because its still relatively new I knew could go one of two ways "sacm software" like most every mobile mining app or even quite a few desktop ones - Or legit. I'm glad to say after using it for a month it seems legit. I was able to withdraw from it no problem. If your system is really crappy It might not work that well on your computer or mining rig. There are no ads and the program doesn't seem to disrupt any day to day activity at least not on my main system, however you can of course expect increased heat production of your system as with any mining software, adequate cooling is important in mining. Anyways Honyminer is as close to an easy one click mining software as I have come. they seem to be making a "pro" version too for more hardcore miners. They do take a fee which is to be expected *look near the bottom for fee information\* but that fee goes down significantly if you have multiple GPU's mining.. The good thing about it for me was it let me kind of set my rig to "autopilot" so to speak. If you wish to see the H/s numbers in real time, go to you settings and view the "expert logs" which will also tell what coin is being mined at the time ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Pros
Pro and or con (depending on how you look at it)
Cons:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________
COMPATIBILITY: (sorry it keeps adding asterisks to the card model for no reason)
WORKED ON: every nvidia card tested so far with card models dating back from 20014 to now..
Worked on some surprising low end and or old CPU and GPUs. like the
AMD Radeon R9 380 card in addition to a AMD Athlon II X3 450 Processor and it mines just fine.. of course that processor doesn't make much on its own lol.. but thats an extra 2 or 3 cents per day by itself. I've also tested it with an i3, i2 Most AMD cards worked but I ran into issues with a few so maybe it's easier for me to just tell you what did not work.
DID NOT WORK ON:
--- any of the AMD ATI Radeon HD 4250's tested so far (2) that particular card It didn't work at all for mining like never enabled the gpu but the cpu on that machine did work however it would generate an "error" on start up but otherwise did not disrupt the mining on that system except if I turned on idle earning mode, I would get a bunch of errors as it was trying to access the GPU. we need the functionality to enable or disable hardware individually I think. (errors or no errors it just seems like a good thing to have.)
OR a system that had both a AMD Radeon R7 Graphics and a AMD A8-7650K Radeon R7, (4C+6G) which surprised me considering some of the things that did work lol... but I think it might just might be that one system, but either way can't vouch that it will work. That system was pre-built and wont allow the parts to be changed or easily removed to be worth the effort since I have to use it for other things so unfortunately I can't test these on another mainboard at least not with wasting some time, money and patients that Id rather dedicate elsewhere for now.
I had some issues using one RX Vega 56 card but i think it's was just that card because another one did work just fine.________________________________________________________________________
FEES W/ comparison to nicehash
I'm not sure if this post will be helpful to anyone looking into this software or anyone whos looking to try a different mining software but if it dose great.
-- nicehash charges the following fees as far as "selling/mining" or withdrawing.
Payouts for balances less than 0.1 to external wallet 5%
Payouts for balances greater than or equal to 0.1 BTC to external wallet 3%
Payouts for balances greater than or equal to 0.001 BTC to NiceHash wallet 2%
Withdrawal fees from NiceHash wallet
Withdrawals from NiceHash wallet are subjected to the withdrawal fee, which depends on the withdrawn amount and withdrawal option.
WITHDRAWAL OPTION AMOUNT TO WITHDRAW FEE Any BTC wallet From 0.002 (min) to 0.05 BTC 0.0001 BTC
Any BTC wallet More than 0.05 BTC 0.2% of withdrawn amount
Coinbase More than 0.001 BTC FREE - No fee. but they also say Minimum Coinbase withdrawal limit is adjusted dynamically according to the API overload._____________________________________________________________________________
honyminer fees are based on number of GPU's working.
8% for 1 GPU or for 2 GPUs or more the fee is 2.5%.
The only withdrawal fee is the standard BTC transaction fee that bitcoin charges and it doesn't go to honyminer. When they add the other withdrawal functions that fee cam be avoided I suppose.

Earnings: in comparison to nicehash
Update: sometimes software / test networks will give a view that can be off + or - a few percent compared to actual. A lot of different things can affect your earnings including where you are located in the world, I'm not sure how many of you uses more than one mining software day to day , ISP issues, crypto price fluctuation, updates to fee's, and inaccuracies in test software/networks can affect results. but I go back and forth between different ones from time to time and I think that's good practice to keep options open. I notice that honey miner seems to do better for me at night-time and early morning/afternoon is when it has the most trouble raking in the crypto's
That said I've been trying to test to see how this compares to nice hash earnings, with two of my buddies. So this is an average between the 3 of our profits vs loss compared to nice hash, I'm using a two 10 GPU/ 3 cpu setups, while one of my buddies is using two 1 gpu, 2 cpu setups and the other is using two 30 gpu mini farm's. We each have 2 networks each located relatively close by *less than .5 mile the furthest one* one with honyminer running and the other with nice hash and we are looking over 24 hour periods When all three of us have the results for one day, we average our results together. In all we will be looking over a 14 day period. UPDATE: the results below were done well long before the latest update to the software so I do not know if they have changed, Id have to do another round or perhaps some from the community could give me their results and save me a bit of work. I'm not sure when Id have the time to dig into it again. Sorry that it took me so long before I could get on here to post the results of the last few days of the tests.
Seem to be a bit smaller then nicehash at times and higher at other times. it seems to for me at least payquicker and it gets deposited in my nicehash account sooner than I expected.
hopefully when they let up pick which coin to mine on our own it may help somewhat, and any of you who want to move smaller volume will probably benefit when they add the functionality to withdraw other coin/usd.
anyways when their autopilot system works it works great but when it doesn't it's just "okay" for lack of a better word...
_____________________________________________________
Contact: they have a contact us part on their webpage and they also have a reddit page which I was made aware of from contacting them https://www.reddit.com/HoneyMine
Careers: If anyone is interested in working for them the job listings at the time of this typing were for Senior Java Developer(s) and Customer Service Representative(s) the email listed is [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). id suggest you check their site for the requirements I just added this part to the review as a courtesy if anyone's interested its not meant to be a focus of it. But I know we have some really talented people on reddit who care about the crypto world passionately so id rather give honyminer a chance to have some of those sort on their team since it might help improve the software faster for the end users.. if that makes sense.
_________________________________________________________
UPDATE: If a question reminds me I left out something I think should have mentioned Ill try to add it here so ppl don't have to scroll all over the place.. I don't write many reviews (for anything) so I don't know if this one was any good or not but I hope it was okay.. and I'm still a new reddit user relatively. I just wanted to make this review mainly because there is next to no information on honyminer when I looked for it and maybe it can help anyone whos interested in it.
browolf2 asked Is it basically like nicehash then? :
A: In a way, its like nice hash that its cloud based, but you get paid not just when your pool completes an order. there are no "buyers" only "sellers" if you look at it that way...I hope I'm wording this the right way.. It's just straight up mining and they take their fee but compared to nicehash the fees for "mining" are different
karl0525 asked: do you know if we can contact the honeyminer dev team and see if they will communicate here on Reddit. Might give them some good ideas what us miners are looking for? Worth a try maybe? Thanks:
A: I submitted a question to their "contact us" part of their webpage and I got a reply from them, this is the message I received below:
Thank you for writing in and for your interest in Honeyminer. We always welcome feedback and suggestions from our users. We are currently planning on expanding our online and social media presence.

At my wit's end with virus removal

So I have at least one virus on my computer. The one I know of is some sort of bitcoin miner, I know this because my gpu usage is constantly at 100% and the fan goes crazy as well as hitmanpro categorizing files with names like bitcoinminer.
I have managed to remove every suspicious file I could find and ran antivirus and antimalware until they couldn't detect anything else but the virus keeps coming back.
The main places I think the virus is focused around are the ~C:\Users\Tony\AppData\Local\Temp~ and ~C:\Users\Tony\AppData\Local\WinSXS~ folders.
I have booted into safe mode, deleted everything in the temp folder, and gave myself permission to delete the WinSXS folder. Every time I boot normally the WinSXS folder just comes back. I know something is up with this folder because rkill always terminates it as well as the other antimalware not liking it.
When I normally boot there is a folder in the temp folder with a name that's just random strings of numbers and letters that I can't delete. It says it's open in another program. I searched the folder name is the resource monitor cpu tab and it was associated with svchost.exe and a couple other things. I'm wondering is the virus is somehow tied to svchost.
So here's a rundown of the steps I've been taking (repeatedly) to try to take care of this.
  1. Boot into safe mode (by switching my psu off then on to get to the boot menu)
  2. Show hidden files and folders
  3. Delete everything from the local\temp folder
  4. Delete unknown files from C:\\ProgramData and C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming
  5. Remove any weird keys from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  6. Empty Recycle Bin
  7. Run rkill
  8. Run adwcleaner
  9. Run malwarebytes (with rootkit checker)
  10. Run Hitmanpro
  11. Run combofix
  12. Run the trojan remover from https://www.simplysup.com/
  13. Reboot computer normally
  14. Run malwarebytes, watch as it finds the same walwares as a million times before
  15. Listen to my fan speed fluctuate like crazy
  16. Run rkill, it kills a WinSXS process, which does nothing
  17. Cry uncontrollably
So uh, what the hell should I do?

Do you agree with Fitgirls' position on antiviri?

Modern AVs are paranoid. They usually see danger in safe files and skip real malware. This is more actual for compressed/protected software and cracks, especially from Chinese groups, such as 3DM.
This may sound scary, but in the real world THERE IS NO ANTIVIRUS, which will protect you from modern trojans, bitcoin miners and similar stuff. In most cases harmful apps won’t be blocked, but absolutely safe programs – will be, as false positives. And since AVs usually work silently, without even notifying you about blocked stuff – you will wonder, why the installer don’t work or why the game don’t want to launch.
One of the biggest downfalls of AVs is they resident mode, when ALL open files, even not executables, arc checked on the fly. This mode can slow down a fast installer for HOURS, because every unpacked file will be checked with AVs engine. Complex repacks do lots of HDD read/writes, and it alone is not fast, but coupled with AV will ruin your experience.
The best antivirus is your brain. Don’t download suspicious software, don’t open attachments in your email, keep your browser up-to-date, disable Flash and Java. This will protect you from 99% of potential malware. You can use antivirus in scan mode on daily basis, with VERBOSE mode, when you will see, what AV counts a real danger.
One more thing – NEVER EVER trust only one antivirus. False positives appear more frequent, than any real virus. Upload any suspicous file to virustotal.com and only then take actions.
If you still need AV for scanning, I’d settle for Kaspersky, Dr.Web or ESET tools, working in VERBOSE mode, and not killing stuff automatically.

[Free] [Guide] Kryptex BTC Miner! Best miner for beginners!

Kryptex is a perfect, lightweight bitcoin miner that I have used on and off over the past year now. I have only used it about a month in time total, accumulating over $30, and you can expect at least $30-$70 per month with a decent enough rig (https://i.imgur.com/LruixfG.png first and only withdraw of btc and my current balancehttps://i.imgur.com/qV8RWoX.png), last I had was $9 and I only remember running it for a couple days before turning it off and forgetting about it). I personally believe this is the best mining software for beginners or even novices, with such an easy setup that only takes minutes. Not to mention they have both a lite mode and and full mode depending on how hard you want your computer to run, or if you want to run the app in the background with games or videos. I have found it doesn't affect my system much if at all, and my specs are 16gb RAM, Ryzen 5 1600 and a 1060 6GB.
You're first brought into a benchmark after logging into your account (there is a warning about antiviruses producing false positives. https://i.imgur.com/6DEqB4l.png) but down below you can find an antivirus link with the full scan of the .exe. During the benchmark the program doesn't use much computer power, only about 10% cpu, <1000mb of ram and <5% GPU. Once the benchmark is you are free to check the app and see what it has to offer!
In the settings you're first greeted with an option for Starting with Windows and an option to enable or disable the use of the CPU. After that you are given a drop down that lets you choose the mode Kyrptex will run when on in the background, I recommend Lite Mode as it will be the best for your pc during use and you can leave the heavier loads for when your pc is sleeping or inactive. With only litemode you could expect anywhere from $5-$15 depending on your rig and load, I usually sit at about $7-$13 per month. You also have an advanced settings option giving you the option to disable/enable your cpus or gpus and which algorithms you'd like to use. From Dagger Hashimoto #1 & #2, CryptoNight, Cuckoo Cycle, X16R and their recently added Equihash 150, 5.
As a beginner miner, and someone who has tried only a few programs, my word of course isnt the best, but out of the select miners I've tried, I truly believe this is the best miner program, especially for beginners who are trying to test the waters out.
You can download Kryptex at https://www.kryptex.org/?ref=4e09fec3 (referral link) or https://www.kryptex.org/ (non-referral)

I had like 3 friends ask me how to build a PC in the past week so I made this to help them.

(Reddit Edit: Help my improve the document with productive constructive comments on what I got wrong or messed up! Im only human lol
Also a lot of this is supposed to be kinda humorous. I didn't think I had to say that but, hey, its the internet.
I appreciate the positive and productive comments! )
Beginners basic guide to building your own PC as of early 2018
(EDIT: Sorry for being a MSI/Corsair Fanboy)
Heres a collection of thoughts to consider when building your own personal PC
As always Id personally use PCPartPicker.com to configure your parts and for further thoughts on compatibility.
First off building a computer is 100% based around what you plan to use the computer for.
Here are a few uses and generic ideas of what to go for. Audio Editing: Lots of small tasks that need to be completed quickly without lag. - Fast Processor( >4GHZ) - Fast RAM (MHZ) -At least 16 gigs! - Fast Storage, SSD manditorily - M.2 or PCI for best performance. - Shitty Graphics card, graphics card there only to keep the cpu from doing other tasks when working. - Can be a few generations or years old. - Many screens for lots of plug in windows to be open Video Editing: Lots of large to render and files to read. - Multi core processor the more the merrier - SSD for fast read/write of large video files. - Insane graphics card, AMD graphics cards are debatibly better but the nvidia Quadro series are specific for video rendering. Gaming: No more than 4 cores intense graphics card - 92% of games are not coded for more than 4 cores so why spend the extra money for it. - SSD for quick load screens - Nvidia cards, 10 series, the higher the number the better. Titan cards for MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE! Coding: quick processor for lots of small tasks. Ergonomic peripherials? - Dear god please dont use a mechanical keyboard so that your coworkers dont kill you. Home office: Everything can be a few gens behind so you can get the best power per dollar spent. - Sorry that Gateway doesnt exist anymore. I guess try Dell...
Parts (Expensive Legos)
CPU (tells things to go places and outputs data) Basically three main routes to go for: Intel, AMD, or ASIC. Intel - Gaming, Data center, Hackintosh Pros: Cooler, Faster speed (GHZ), short small tasks faster Cons: $$$$, less cores AMD - Gaming, Personal Computing, Large task processing Pros: Lots of cores, better price per performance, faster processing of large tasks Cons: Hot chips, large chips?, compatibility issues with MacOS. ASIC - "Application-specific integrated circuit" Pros: Does the task that they are made to do insanely efficently, great for mining. Cons: Literally does nothing else. Holy hell these are expensive, very hot (fans will get loud) CPU Cooler (Im a big fan) Most come with an in box cooler that are ok but please buy aftermarket. In Box - the free shitty cooler that comes with the processor. Pros: Free. Cons: Ugly, makes chip run hot, hard to clean Air cooler - oldest type of cooler but new designs are highly efficent. Pros: Only cooler that has the possibility of being 100% quiet, most likely cheaper Cons: large, if cooler isnt large enough for the chips thermal output the fans will be loud. Liquid - Custom pipes are beautiful, AIO is easy to install and offers similare performance. Pros: Looks cool, great temperatures, "quiet" Cons: Water pump has possibility of being loud, possible spills Phase Change - uses the technology of refridgerators to cool the chip Pros: Can overclock until the chip breaks. (whats colder than cold? ICE COLD!) Cons: Loud (compressor noise), Large pipes, just why.... Motherboard (the convienacnce store of computer parts) Really just about what type of I/O you want. - MAKE SURE FORM FACTOR FITS YOUR CASE! (or vice versa) - Look for PCI lanes for expansion. - How many graphic cards do you have? - PCI based interfaces? - PCI SSD? - PCI DAC? - PCI WIFI? - USbs? Network? Audio? - How many lanes of RAM? - DOES IT FIT YOUR PROCESSOR!?! (really tho) - M.2? - How many sata interaces? Good Brands: MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte Bad Brands: AS(s)Rock, Dell Memory (Dory) - The more the merrier - No less than 8gb for a functional windows machine (16 gb to never have a problem) - Use all the lanes your computer has to offer! the more lanes to access the faster the data can travel! -Imagine drinking a milkshake. If the straw is wider you can drink more of the milkshake than a skinny straw. - Faster MHZ for faster data access but give minimal performance differances - Please get ram with heat spreadders unles youre building a server with high airflow. - Make sure the type (DDR3 or DDR4) of RAM matches what your processomotherboard call for. Good Brands: Corsair, G.Skill, Ballistix Storage (Grandpa that remembers everythign about how things used to be but takes forever to learn a new tasK) Speed or massive storage? slower is cheaper. Golden ratio of speed/storage/price is 250-500 gb SSD and a 1+ tb disk drive. *Max speeds listed are for a single drive not RAID* Hard Disk Drives (HDD) - Cheapest and slowest - read/write speeds of < 0.5gb/s - 7200+ RPM or GTFO - Higher Speed drives can access data faster. - Do not move while powered up. physical parts will break. - Larger Cahche = faster Read/Write Speeds Pros: Cheap, Holds massive amounts of data Cons: Slower than molasses in a frezer Reputible Brands: Seagate, WD Solid State Drives (SSD) - necessity for quick boots and fast load screens (can only be re-written to so many times) - SATA based (2.5 inch)- Read/Write speeds capped @ 6 gb/s Pros: Most economical, form factor fits with old computers, Cons: "Slow" compared to other ssd's (but stil 12 times faster than a HDD) - M.2 based - Read/Write speeds capped @ 10 gb/s Pros: Size of a sick of gum! High End but not too expensive to be out of reach. Cons: Expensive for any size over 500 gb - PCI based - Read/Write speeds capped @ 20 gb/s for PCI3, x4 Pros: HOLY BANDWIDTH BATMAN! Faster than that little creepy ghost thats always in the corner of you eye Cons: You might have to take out a loan to buy one. *takes up a x4 PCI Lane* Reputible Brands: Samsung! Corsair, Plextor, Intel, Kingston, Crucial Video Card (that one kid that has thick glasses and is really good at math) - A regular old PCI card that handles all of the video rendering and output for your computer. - ASIC PCI cards. - The PCBs and chips are patented by two main companies but the differances come from line up and varying manufacturer cooling devices. - The more memory the better -NVIDIA (Team Green) Great for gaming, has specific card series for intensive rendering. Lazy driver updates. - Gaming - 900 series - Cheap - Low performance - Can play any video game made befrore 2010 on max settings - 1000 (ten) series - Expensive (thanks bitcoin miners...) - Great for VR! - Video Rendering -Quadro Series - Gaming and Rendering - Titan X - Maxwell based chip same as 900 series cards - Titan XP - Pascal based chip same as 10 series cards -AMD (Team Red) Underdog does the same thing but slighly worse and cheaper. (except video rendering) - Gaming - RX 400 series - Cheap - Hot - RX 500 series - Cheap - Ok at VR and deacent gaming frame rates. - Not bad but not particularly great either. - Video Rendering - Fire Pro series - Gaming and Rendering - Vega series -Good luck finding one to buy lmao Case (Fancy clothing for your parts!) - Similar to human clothing you want it to do a few main things really well with compromises for each extreme. - Durability - Steel - Incredibly durable - Creates Farady cage for components - Heavy af - Magnets, just magnets.... - Rust over time - Aluminium - Light - East to bend for modding or "physical maintenance" - Less likely to rust - Huzzah for Farady cages! - Plastic - Just dont - no electrical Ground - no faraday cage - Light AF! - Breath (Airflow) - positive internal airflow! - larger fans push the same amount of air with less speed/noise - Looks - Window? - RGB - Cool Paint? - Fit all your parts - graphics card length/ clearacne - support for liquid cooling raiators? - How many spots for HDD/SSDs - Motherboard format - Cable management! Power Supply (FIGHT MILK) - Rule of thumb: BUy Powersupply that outputs 1.5 times the wattage that you need. - You can walk further than you can you can run. - The PSU can casually output 50-75% power for much longer than at 90-100% (without failure) - If you never demand enough wattage for it to get hot the fan doesnt have to turn on therefore making it quieter. - Modular means you can remove/replace the cables from the PSU. Reputible Brands: Corsair, EVGA Optical Drive (motorized cup holder) - You can download most things today so I'd suggest against it unless you really NEED to watch/write DVD's/CD's Operating System (software that makes everything work) Windows (Always Updates) - Compatible with just about everything - Easy to learn to code on! - POS inital browser - Likely to get virus's Linux (Penguins are cute) - Unique - takes less resources to run - Barebones - Incredibly personalizable! - Compatibility issues with just about everything MacOS (Linux but more annoying) - It is legal! - Great for art and your grandma that doenst know how to use computers! - User friendly - Compatibility issues with various hardware - Confusing/Limiting coding structure Peripherials (cables everywhere!) - Keyboard (higer Polling rate is better) - Mechanical (key is pressed at an exact stroke length every time - Mouse (Higher Polling rate is better) - more buttons = better? - DPI (Dots Per Inch) - In theory, if a mouse has 1600 DPI, then, if you move your mouse one inch (2.54 cm), the mouse cursor will move 1600 pixels - Higher DPI the faster your cursor is able to be moved. - Monitor - In theory the human eye cant see faster than 60 frames per second. - Keep in mind Pixel ratio! - 4k screen that is 22inches will have more pixels in a square inch than a 4k screen that is 28 inches. - Interface? - DVI (Analog) - thumbscrews..... - can do two monitors with one port! - support for 4k - VGA (Analog) - thumbscrews... - max resolution is 1440p - Display Port (digital) - nice button clip - supports 4k - HDMI (Digital) - 1.2 or higer supports 4k - DAC/Speakers/Headphones - Dont even get me started - Microphone - Dont get me started PT.2 Other (other) - UPS (uninterruptible power supply) Just a battery that allows your computer to have some time if the power ever goes out so that you have time to save your work. - Cable Organization materials! - Zipties - velcro - LED LIGHTING! - Manditory - Extra/Better fans - More pressure, less woosh - IFIXIT Pro Tech Toolkit - becasue who buys just one torx wrench. - Cute kitten mousepad - Yes, it has to be a cat. Dont argue
This is a very general entry into building computers and what you should buy/look for. If you have any questions/comments send me an e-mail!
